After considering the unthinkable possibility that the music dream in his life may had come to an abrupt halt, guitarist David Larrea “by chance” meets drummer Gerardo Cisneros while attending a theology class in late 2006. Although they exchanged contact information, it would not be until a few months later that Larrea would contact Cisneros to express the need to get together and share some music. Their musical styles and backgrounds were different, which they found to be very interesting, and were instantly musically attracted. The song-writing process began that very day. Soon after, Joe Esparza (bass) and Adam Coronado (keys), both friends from Cisneros' past, were recruited to finalize the song-writing process and began preparing for the recording journey. This gave birth to what would become First Fall. Later in the recording process and the pre-production for live performances, the band added a second keyboardist to the line-up, Marvin Espinoza, who put the final touch to the First Fall sound.

Despite the band’s young career as a unit, First Fall has already traveled across the US to participate at the 2009 Miami Music Festival, after being selected to perform two showcases. Just days after returning from Miami, First Fall was invited to play at the legendary House of Blues, Sunset Strip in Hollywood.

In their current recording project, First Fall has had the privilege of working with world-renown percussionist Alex Acuña as a special guest. In addition, the mixes of the band's EP are being handled by mixer/producer Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, Switchfoot, U2, Goo Goo Dolls).

The band’s line-up consists of David (guitars/vox), Joe (bass/vox), Gerardo (drums), Adam (keys), and Marvin (keys). Each member is from the Los Angeles area, but they all call Tabernacle Sound Lab (TSL) their home, which is in Phillips Ranch, CA. This is where the rehearsals and most of the recording takes place. Being a young band, yet having members with extensive musical experience from past projects, First Fall agrees that their previous experiences not only in music, but in life as a whole, have divinely aligned in this project to touch people with their music with a redemptive message of hope. As they prepare for the relase of the EP, they are already hitting the scene with, as they put it, “all we got!”

First Fall is currently finalizing the recording of their debut EP, Broken, which is due the second quarter of 2010.
